Day 113 – A letter to you

Dear you,

Yes you.

The twenty-something year old that has no idea how to get that information for your next exam into your head.

The fifty-year-old that lost his job two years ago and hasn’t found a new one yet.

The girl that didn’t have a reason to get out of bed this morning.

The friend that is preparing for the biggest adventure of his life, but realises the sacrifices to be made.

The brother that is wondering why he never really talks with his sister.

The mother that doesn’t seem to find a moment of rest for herself.

The guy that used to go to church on Sundays, but now just sleeps until 2 pm.

The sixteen-year-old that hopes to find freedom in the smoking, drinking and drugs.

The young wyng man that got married a couple years ago, but has never felt more alone.

The daughter that is worried about her old parents that don’t want to accept help.

The teacher that doesn’t know anymore how to deal with the angry boy and his parents that are fighting during their divorce.

The forty-year-old that is considering a career switch.

The woman that was marching yesterday, filled with hope.

To you.

Because you have a story to share. You are worthy. You are beautiful. You are like the page of a book. I can’t wait to read what is coming up next. You might have never met me. But I know what gives you joy or what makes you laugh. I know what you are trying to hide or what made you cry the other day. I know why you couldn’t sleep last night. I know who you are in love with or who you can’t stand at the moment.

I know that you have a story to share and you are the main character. How are you doing? What’s going on in that beautiful, complex mind of yours? What is your heart feeling? What is your reason telling you? Which road are you on? Where do you think it will take you? Which season are you in? Is it a cold winter of rest or a warm happy summer?

I have so many questions for you. But maybe I should just shut up and give you a chance to answer. I’ll listen. I’ll wait until you are ready to share that story. I’ll be here. I am always here. I am always available to talk. I am never offline. I don’t do holidays or travel. I am just here. Around you. Above you. Near you. In you. You have a Friend in me.

It’s as simple as that. I want to be your Friend. Because you are the most beautiful creation I have ever seen. Yes, I am talking about you. You are so beautiful that you fill my heart with happiness when I see you with your family or when you wake up in the morning. When you cry, I cry with you. When you are down, I feel the agony and hopelessness too. I would give my life for you, because you are worth it. Because I love you. Would you let me? Will you let me save you?

You have a story to tell.

I am the Author.

With love,

p.s. My Dad in Heaven can’t wait to meet you. He has been waiting for it since you inhaled your first breath. Let’s go meet Him together.
