Day 364 – Finishing chapter 1

I am finding it harder and harder to write. I guess because I know the end is so close. One more day. Since I didn’t really take any pictures today, I am scanning through my phone. Looking for an old... Continue Reading →

Day 363 – Scared

I don't like to admit it, but I am scared for lots of things. Scared to get seriously sick. Scared to share. Scared to fail. Scared that I am not good enough. Scared of what will happen next. Scared of... Continue Reading →

Dag 358 – Einde in zicht

Nog maar een week en dan is het klaar. Dan is deze blog voorbij. In ieder geval het elke dag schrijven en dat dan delen met de wereld. En eerlijk gezegd is het goed zo. Ik ben er wel even... Continue Reading →

Day 357 – Maggie and maps

I woke up from the birds. Like a usual morning. It’s a little past 7. Slept an hour longer than usual. I am struggling to get out of bed. Turn around a couple times more in my squeaky sounding small... Continue Reading →

Day 356 – Colour my world

Protests in downtown Kampala yesterday. Tear gas. Police. Demonstrations. Political unrest is not uncommon in this part of the world. Yet I don't really notice. It could just as well be on the other side of the world. This city... Continue Reading →

Day 194 – Reach out and receive

My sleeping pattern has shifted. For the better I must say. In a Dutch winter it's impossible to get out of bed before 7 or 8, but here isn't so much of an issue. I wake up without an alarm... Continue Reading →

Day 91 – Last day of the year

My last blog of 2016 is here! A couple of months ago, I never would have dreamed that I would end the year with my 92nd blog post. Normally I just write about my day, something that happened and caught my interest, but as you do on the last day of the year, I want to take you through my year with all the ups and downs. My image of the day is from the moment that I came up with the idea to start this blog. The silver lines of a spider web in the warm September sunshine. These are my highlights in silver from 2016.
